Must be certified and meet all requirements per Florida Statute 943.13. Responsible for supervising the residents of a work release center located in the Tampa Bay area. The aim is to establish a working relationship with the resident based on acceptance and understanding, which will facilitate the resident's acceptable attitude and behavior toward self and his/her total group living situation. The certified corrections technician is responsible for the safe operation and security of the residential facility and assures that the residents adhere to center rules. Provides accurate, pertinent information on each resident daily, assures that each resident adheres to the center rules and for the safe operation and security of the residential facility. Supervises residents during structured and unstructured times; during all meal periods in the cafeteria and at the facility, circulates throughout the facility and surrounding area to ensure that all residents are accounted for and are safe. Transports residents to authorized destinations. Reads, initials, records and assures compliance of all data in regard to case notes, daily log entries, medications, meal reports, cafeteria supervision, nightly clean up, linen exchange and sign in/sign out.
Must be certified and meet all requirements per Florida Statute 943.13. Subject to criminal history background checks. Possess a valid Florida driver's license, subject to a DMV records check and approval by insurance carrier. Subject to alcohol and drug testing. Must be available to work any hours, any shift.
