12 hour Night Shifts
We are currently looking to staff Certified Nursing Assistants in our Crystal Coast Hospice House Inpatient Facility. The Nursing Assistant is responsible for personal care and related services following a plan of care established by clinical supervision.
Provides personal care to include bathing, hair care, shaving, oral hygiene, personal
hygiene, toileting and dressing.
Completes housekeeping tasks to include tidying bedroom, mopping floor, cleaning the
patient's bathroom, shower, toilet and sink. Change patient's bed linens. Refer to
housekeeper policy for more information.
Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists the patient when eating.
Provides simple range-of-motion exercises, transferring, turning, lifting and walking.
Assists with treatments and procedures (Examples: changing non- sterile dressings, urine testing,measuring intake and output, and administering enemas).
Accurately takes and records vital signs and weights.
Records and reports any changes in the patient's mental or physical condition.
Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings and inservice classes.
Adheres to the Agency's Personnel Policy and Compliance Plan.
Willingly performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Displays a high degree of courtesy, tact, and knowledge of services provided by the agency in all contact with staff, patients, and visitors.
Certified Nursing Assistant listed with the North Carolina Division of Facility Services.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
One year C.N.A. experience.
Must be physically competent to perform delegated tasks necessary to good patient care and as indicated in patient's plan of care.
Must be dependable and capable of dealing pleasantly and tactfully with patient, family, staff, and the public.
