Penhall Company is currently accepting applications for a full time Certified Payroll/Construction Administrator to work in a fast paced office with a variety of responsibilities. Position Requirements: Experience and accuracy in, but not limited to, Human Resources, HR, payroll (including certified payroll), collections, credit checks, customer service, etc.Two + years related industry experience a plusKnowledge of construction or related administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, other office procedures and terminology.Working mathematics knowledge and its construction industry applications. The ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.Knowledge of accounting principles and practices including analysis and reporting data.Knowledge of the A/S 400 a plus Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.Effective managing one's own time.Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the business.Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.Position Duties: Large volume data entry; 10 key proficiency is CRITICAL Respect for and daily interaction with field, dispatch, maintenance and management personnelReview time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into computers.Record employee information to maintain and update payroll records.Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, or process information.Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems Penhall offers a comprehensive basic benefits package that includes medical, dental and life insurance and 401(k) plan.All applicants will be tested for illicit substances.
