About This Position

Job Summary:
The Release Coordinator is
a critical role that is responsible for assisting with the rollout of the
release management process improvements and the execution of their day-to-day
coordination and facilitation activities for process management. Report on all Releases, specified per
service, process, department, and any other Key Performance Indicator that will
be established. Escalate Service Level Agreement breaches to line management
(where applicable directly to section managers) and Process Management. Recommends
service improvements. Assist with or
carry out the activities delegated to him by the Production Control Performance
Manager, like producing fit-for-purpose and timely reports and reviews. Understand the process, procedures, work
instructions, policies, required documentation and tools. Monitor, track,
update and close the Release Records during appropriate points in the Release
life-cycle (e.g. progress information).

Assist the Release
Management Process Manager to build the business case for an enhancement
request and assist with the evaluation of Releases (Post Implementation
Reviews). Register monitors and updates
the Forward Schedule of Releases (for planning purposes). Reviews and reports
possible bottlenecks and issues regarding scheduled Releases to the Change or Release
Management Process Manager.

Produce steering
information in the shape of management reports based on the Key Performance
Indicators (KPIs). Report on Releases to those involved on behalf of the
Release Management Process Manager when required. Assist with the audit of the
Release Management process. Provide and distribute reports regarding urgent
(emergency) Releases.

Distributing and
installing the implementation or taking care that this is done. Provide and
distribute escalation reports when required. Provide information on and arrange
training when required. Evaluate Releases on impact, required effort, planning,
quality and provide input to the Change Post Implementation Reviews.

Assist with the
promotion and communication of the process to all parties involved, through
e.g. the maintenance of a web-page, info mails and bulletins where needed. Liaise
with the Release Management Process Analysts when required. Send invitations, prepare and attend meetings
according to the Release Management process when required. Perform secretarial activities when required
(e.g. minutes of meetings). Escalate and
report to the Change and/or Release Management Process Manager and when
appropriate on behalf of the Release Management Process Manager to line
management or process staff. Recommend
any improvements regarding processes, reporting, communication, training and
tools. Initiate coordination meetings with other Release Management Process
Analysts when required. Handle any pressure to by-pass the Release Management

incumbent will have accountability to ensure the end to end service delivery of
assigned applications and infrastructure support. They will work closely with
the Change, Configuration, Project and Deployment Management Processes, as well
as the Business coordinators. The
Release Coordinator executes the release, coordination, scheduling,
orchestration, roll back, and outage scheduling for all applications/service in
production related to an approved change request. In addition, the Release Coordinator will contribute
to the definition and quality criteria to be used in the quality assurance
process and the gating criteria that will be used to determine that a change
has successfully completed with business critical services/applications in
Production Control as they relate to Release.

The Release Coordinator
will be working with teams, including their own team members, consisting of:
senior team leads, senior analysts and coordinators. The Coordinator will be
required to orchestrate the functions across the organization and provide
matrix leadership requirements to application groups as well as service
delivery managers to help support activities around the service portfolio. This
will require interfacing on a regular basis with well over 50 people actively
as well as external suppliers.

Will ensure
all regulatory and compliance requirements are integrated properly in the
process models and service delivery models. Will identify and report risk.

In addition
to being accountable in direct line Management, the Coordinator may be called
upon to directly interface with internal technology teams at the Manager and
Director levels. This requires that the Coordinator in addition to leadership skills,
be technically competent in one or more of technology pillars (infrastructure,
applications, network, etc.) and capable and willing to learn in depth about Health
Care IT Architecture. Must be able to provide deep coordination analysis and
detail focus guidance to his staff and the organization.

Ensure that the Release Management process and
activities are followed

Produce scope & schedule for application,

Coordinate all cross application dependencies and
downstream impacts

Produce efficient procedures for the distribution
and installation of changes to IT systems

compliant and that only correct, authorized and tested version

Provide release status to stakeholders

Manage and coordinate Release Deployment and Post
GoLive activities

Collaborate closely with business teams to deliver
application release that support Operation Excellence

Coordinate with IT and business teams to prioritize
enhancements and defects into releases

Apply sound project and release management
disciplines to drive release successes

Accountable for supporting assigned audit related
/compliance activity

Participate in continuous improvement activity

Responsible for identifying training opportunities
for technology teams to ensure performance and compliance goals.

Consults with process and service stakeholders,
analyze capability needs, and identify people, process, technology,
governance, and or integration defects that hinder service delivery.

Input into presentations,
reports, analytical and management documentation that will be used in the
Production Control process improvements for Availability, Access,
Security, Event, Change, Release & Deployment, Incident, Major
Incident, Configuration Management, Service Level Management, Problem,
Knowledge, and Request Fulfillment.

Identify and co-opt key stakeholders to drive
process and service solutions and improvements.

Enforce quality of service guidelines for dealing
with customers, completing services, and overall customer satisfaction

Identify and promote Key Performance Indicators
(KPI’s) related to production control processes.

Minimum Required:
