The Progressive Care Unit Charge Nurse is a resource within the unit. The charge nurse is responsible for the functioning of the unit on a shift to shift basis. The charge nurse will determine staffing needs during shifts, respond to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues, facilitate daily department job duties, and coordinate patient flow.

Two (2) 12 hour shifts a week as a Charge RN, and one (1) 12 hour shift a week as a Staff RN
Every 3rd Weekend, Days Vary through the week
Graduate of approved nursing program and holding a current Indiana RN License
Minimum of two years as an RN in a monitored unit
Demonstrates clinical expertise in the area worked
CPR, ACLS certified
Previous nursing experience that has provided opportunities to refine competencies in nursing practice
Shows an understanding and knowledge of computer systems and application and/or ability to be trained
