Qualified candidate will assist the Product Development Department in improving the understanding of the interaction and correlations of film properties, design, and productivity. Focus will be on evaluating the mechanical and physical properties of the film and correlating this data with other known variables and quality data. This individual will work 40 hours per week as part of their school's co-op program. This is a paid position.
-Perform property measurement on film samples using automated testing equipment
-Evaluate film properties results with objective of known variables
-Perform statistical analysis of results using software tools to determine if there is any finding of correlations
-Create periodic reports on progress of project and present to department
-Ideal candidate will be a chemical engineering student in their junior or senior year
-Strong computer skills and proficiency with manipulating data
-Must be proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
-Experience with statistical analysis preferred
-Fundamental knowledge of material science preferred
-Ability to report in a clear and concise fashion
-Must have a strong work ethic and be highly self-motivated
Length of Employment:
-Approximately six months, beginning in July and finishing up in December
