We are looking for a highly motivated Chief Architect - Machine Learning Platforms who is interested in working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment that will launch new Intel products into new markets. You have architected and developed predictive analytics platforms through a combination of mentoring and hands on software engineering. Your solutions have helped companies reduce the time from data acquisition to effective models significantly, while meeting enterprise production requirements for scalability, reliability, usability, and manageability. You are an expert in all agile methodologies and have used extreme programming processes. You have passion for quality, aggressive delivery, and team morale. You are a strong customer advocate and excel at challenging and motivating the people you work with and mentor. You are an excellent collaborator and enjoy tackling hard problems as part of a world-class team.
As the Chief Architect - Machine Learning Platforms, You will drive architectural development of the organization's machine learning platforms, leading the technology and software engineering teams in this effort and working with the General Manager to ensure alignment with the organization's vision. You will report to the General Manager and work with other members of the Leadership Team to accomplish your objectives. You will drive architectural definition by understanding our customer's application requirements and our technical capabilities. You will participate in teambuilding, process development, product definition, marketing plans, and business development. You will maintain a focus on continuous improvement of both organizational processes and talent.
You are expected to demonstrate substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art machine learning methods and distributed systems research, and you are expected to be an expert in numerous programming languages. Responsibilities may include evangelizing our work, development of intellectual property, and publication of research.
- M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience architecting commercial machine learning software platforms
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including open source software
- 5+ years of experience designing distributed and parallel computing systems
- 5+ years of experience in agile software practices
- Experience in managing engineering teams
- Experience with Web/UI software engineering
- Strong record of academic publications
