H-T Circulation Clerk @
Job Summary: As a Circulation Clerk you will be one of the first points of customer contact as they enter the Library System. In a courteous and friendly manner, you will assist diverse customers issuing and receiving library materials. You will inform our customers by phone and in-person of the many services the library provides; assist in locating books and publications; issue library cards; assist customers with various office machines; process new materials and reserves; and various other duties. This position requires exceptional customer service skills.
Salary and Hours: $12.60 per hour. This is a half-time position working 20 hours a week. Primary hours are Monday 11am-3pm, Friday 8am-5pm, and Saturday 8am-5pm. Hours are subject to change in accordance with the needs of the Library.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Six months of public library experience is preferred in order to gain public contact experience and the knowledge of the circulation system, general office/library procedures, practices and computer terminal use. Any combination of education, training and experience, which produces the required knowledge, skills and abilities, may be accepted.
Skills and Abilities: Selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team. While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, speak and hear, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds .
