Position 1: Have working knowledge of : Cisco products 15454/ROADM/DWDM/CPT, Cyan Z77, Z33, Z22, Fujitsu flashwave 7420,4500, 4100, 4100ES, FLM 600, 150's and Adrtran 6100

Position 2:

G10 Equivalent

Candidate must have minimum 7-10 years relevant optical platform experience and 5-7 years with three or more of the following Cisco optical platforms . Heavy focus on the 15454-MSTP platform

· Cisco ONS, 15600, 15454-MSPP(SONET), 15454-MSTP(DWDM), 15310, 15216, CTC Release 8.5 or later and CPT (Carrier Packet Transport)

· 2-3yrs Experience with other DWDM vendor equipment implementation, provisioning, test and troubleshooting

Experience
· Passive, DWDM, Layer 2 network design architecture assistance, review and design
· 15454 MSTP - Cisco Transport Design (CTP) tool creation, revisions
· Network Trouble shooting on SONET and DWDM based platforms
· Network expansion/upgrade MOP creation, implement and support
· On site implementation support for both greenfield and brownfield networks (cutover, migration strategy planning and implement)
· Layer 2/3 experience with Carrier Ethernet protocols MPLS, MPLS-TP etc. Ideally experienced with Cisco GgigE Xponder networks or Cisco Carrier Packet Transport (CPT)
· 2-3yrs Experience with other DWDM vendor equipment implementation, provisioning, test and troubleshooting
This position is responsible for implementation, test and support of Service Provider networks containing Cisco ONS 15454 MSPP & MSTP, ONS 15600, ONS 15300, 15200 and CPT solutions and applications. Candidate must be self-motivated will need to possess a solid understanding of the ONS platform and strong trouble shooting skills and be able to lead customer and other partner personnel during implementation, test and troubleshooting. This position is responsible for planning, developing and implementing custom designs for service provider solutions. Will involve working with the architecture/design team and Customer Engineers analyzing new solution requirements, writing test plans, building test lab configurations, executing customer profile testing, and documenting results.
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, strong technical writing skills for the creation of Methods and Procedure (MOP), general operational guidelines, Customer Requirements Document (CRD), Network Implementation Plans (NIP) and Network Ready for Use (NRFU) documentation
Candidate will be expected to create training material and provide non-formal Technical Knowledge Transfer Sessions to Customers on the ONS line of equipment
