Job Description:
The Citrix Engineer/Administrator will be involved in designing, managing and implementing, in varying capacities, Citrix technologies including various related and unrelated subsystems necessary to support a variety of virtual environments and application delivery environment.

Duties Include:
• Establishes system specifications; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing system infrastructure.
• Establishes system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems; defining system and operational policies and procedures.
• Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
• Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
• Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Job Skills:
XenDesktop Specific Qualifications
• Citrix Certified Administrator – XenDesktop is a plus
• Experience with Data Storage technologies, such as NetApp, EMC, etc.
• Experience with Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESXi is a plus
• Experience with Application Virtualization such as Microsoft AppV or VMware ThinApp is a plus
• Experience Desktop Director is a plus
XenApp Specific Qualifications
• Must have a solid foundation in Citrix XenApp from initial installation through all troubleshooting aspects in a production environment.
• Experience with Application provisioning to users from initial design, installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with user profile management in a terminal server environment would be a plus.
• Experience with monitoring and performance analysis using SCOM/Citrix EdgeSight would be a plus.
• Experience with Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESXi is a plus
• Experience with Data Storage technologies, such as NetApp, EMC, etc.
• Experience with Application Virtualization such as Microsoft AppV or VMware ThinApp is a plus

Desired Skills:

• Should have at least 1-5 years of experience working with Citrix environment
o User profile management and Troubleshooting
o Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy
o Troubleshooting Citrix environments
o Solid working knowledge of enabling printing and printing issues within Citrix, ICA Client management.
o Candidate should have a working knowledge of routed and routing protocols, network topologies, and technical flow and impact of Citrix traffic throughout a network over a WAN.

• Communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel

Minimum Level of Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
