CITY EMPLOYEES ONLY - DIA is recruiting for a Crew Supervisor for our Field Maintenance division. This is a city employee only recruitment for all Denver City employees with or without Career Service status including Promotion and Transfer/Demotion/Repromotion/Re-Employment. Eligibility for re-employment requires that you have occupied the type and level classification of this posting; your separation date was within the last 5 years; and you meet the posted minimum requirements.

We are looking for a hands-on, working supervisor who will be responsible for a small to medium size crew performing pavement marking maintenance and repair activities for DIA.

Job Responsibilities:
May perform and/or supervise the performance of the full range of snow and ice removal activities at a specific location.
Drives, operates and maintains a wide variety of equipment.
Provides crew training in the use and operation of sweeping, scrubbing and small pavement marking equipment and day to day procedures.
Coordinates with airport operations and airlines to schedule and complete airline gate cleaning and striping operations.
Conducts various meeting with assigned personnel such as Safety to lay out new projects or to advise a change in practice and procedure.

Qualifications:
Education Requirement:
Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certification.

Experience Requirement:
Three years of experience as a member of a crew performing a wide variety of pavement maintenance and/or repair work.

Licensure and/or Certification:
Requires the possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) B at the time of application.
Completion of a Career Service Authority supervisory training course prior to completion of the probationary period.

Preferred Qualifications:
Two years airfield striping experience.
Three years of equipment operation as an EOS or higher, to include sweeping equipment.
Three years supervising a crew in a variety of airfield maintenance and or construction activities.

Additional Information:
FBI Criminal Background Check required : an FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DIA). Employees are also required to report any felony conviction and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance / be eligible for continued employment. A pre-employment drug test will be required and a physical may be required, by position. Shift Work / Snow Duties / Emergency Incidents : this position does require shift work as DIA is a 24/7/365 operation (includes nights, weekends and holidays). Mandatory extended/additional shifts can be required. Additionally, this position is required to work mandatory snow duties which vary and can include nights, weekends and holidays.
