This is a part time, temporary position, with no benefits.
The City of San Luis Obispo is currently accepting applications for the part-time position of Scanning Intern in the Community Development Department. Under general supervision, the Scanning Intern purges and digitally scans files and maintains the Department’s filing system. There is one vacancy approximately 10 hours per week, year round.
The schedule will begin in mid-May and continue to June 30, 2014. Work during the summer months is required. Flexible 10 hours per week. Not to exceed 1000 hours per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares approved building and planning files, documents and plans to be purged and digitally scanned.
Files and conducts research on missing or damaged files.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Experience:
Possession of :
a valid class “C” California driver’s license, and a good driving record.
Knowledge of :
general office procedures and operation of office equipment including personal computers (IBM-PC); scanning equipment preferred.
