The work involves design/build of a structure that will house the re-routed main steam line to include the additional line valves. A permanent steel frame structure housed on caissons will be built where the re-routed main steam lines will be. Pipe stress analysis is required to be performed on the main steam line in addition to the affected branch piping.
Develop pipe stress calculations under the supervision of the Lead Piping Engineer coordinating with other engineers working on related problems
Working experience with Superpipe software desired. (Note any Oconee specific work experience.)
Perform verifications of engineering calculations for stress analysis calculations
Provide design input information to designers for support pipe support design and layout.
Develop specifications and procurement documentation based on BOM
BS in Eng'g/Eng'g Tech. plus 8-10 years of engineering exp. An advanced degree may be substituted for related exp. (MBA/MS 1-2yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.).
Must exhibit an aptitude for solving technical problems.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Technical writing and presentation abilities.
A desire to work and lead in a team environment
Knowledge of nuclear industry processes and documentation is required
Is able to perform tasks in a timely manner within assigned budget and schedule.
