Our customers need us the most when they file a claim. As an Allstate Claims Service Specialist, you will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our promise to help restore people’s lives after they’ve experienced a loss. Each day you will be responsible for managing a steady volume of new claims involving property losses such as theft, lightning and windstorm. Most importantly, you will work with our customers to guide them through the claims process in a caring and professional manner. You will handle every step from managing incoming calls and data entry, to negotiating and settling claims. Specific responsibilities include:
A CPS spends 70% of their day on the phone with customers
Maintaining positive relationships with customers
Handle a steady volume of claims on a daily basis
Other administrative duties as assigned.

Compensation and other important information:
Starting salary: $12.60 hourly (paid bi-weekly). A 10% shift differential pay will be added to the starting salary for this 2nd shift position. Excellent benefits starting on your first day of employment, including 401K, health, dental, vision and life insurance. First 3 weeks will include training classes from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Complete training runs for 5 weeks and is mandatory. No time off will be permitted during this period. Position will require working rotating Saturdays and holiday shifts as necessary. Permanent shift will run from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, beginning July 2, 2012.
High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) required, plus one year of customer service experience in an office environment
Excellent customer service skills and a passion to help others
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
Excellent time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer, typing and grammar skills
Fluency in Spanish and English is especially desirable
