Classroom Coordinator - Temp
Wireless Generation is seeking a Classroom Coordinator to join our team as we envision, create, and test a transformative curriculum product. Our field trial program will be an ongoing project to test our latest curricula and technologies. The ideal applicant will play an important role as classroom support for our field trial customers. We are looking for people who are educators, comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and who enjoy problem solving with customers and teammates. The ideal Classroom Coordinator will have a strong background dealing with the day-to-day challenges of the classroom, interested in tablet devices and savvy with mobile technology.
Responsibilities of the Classroom Coordinator:
Maintain full-time, onsite presence in or around the field trial location
Act as the first point of contact in the field; provide pedagogical and basic technical support for participants
Maintain responsibility for working with students and teachers to gather classroom data (class rosters, schedules, etc.)
Act as a customer advocate for participating teachers and students (training, technology, or pedagogical support)
Study and understand the lessons of the program; be able to coach and provide support as needed
Maintain day-to-day knowledge of status, and provide internal teams with regular updates
Responsible for determining the order and priority of emergencies/issues, and alerting the appropriate contacts, helping to provide immediate feedback, and following up with the teams to confirm proper action was taken
Share best practices and work closely with other Classroom Coordinators as well as the Program Manager on site
Basic Qualifications of the Classroom Coordinator:
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
1 - 2 years of classroom experience
Must be experienced and comfortable using a tablet and technology
Strong technical savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications of the Classroom Coordinator:
Education, or Psychology degrees strongly preferred
Experience with students grades 5–8
Excellent and versatile interpersonal and communication skills
Strong technical savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; tablet experience a plus
Attention to detail and strong observational skills
Ability to perform under pressure
Must enjoy working in a middle school environment
Must be a team player
Ability to travel prior and post Field Trial to the NYC office, up to 25%
