Cleo is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our fast-growing team based in Loves Park, IL. The BDR role is responsible for the generation and qualification of sales leads. This position follows up via phone and email on leads generated from marketing programs as well as independent prospecting. A successful candidate will be driven, passionate with a strong work ethic and the desire to growth both personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:
Generate between 7 and 10 each week quality leads and appointments for the sales team.
· Identify key targets in sales database and initiate contact with appropriate suspects, making at least 75 calls per day.
· Proactively prospect, qualify and grow leads. Reach out and follow up with respondents from a variety of marketing programs to initiate conversation, learn current business programs and qualify potential business applications. Leverage research resources to create intrigue, assess their current business methods and position the Cleo solution set.
· Display an understanding of Cleo campaigns, market messaging, sales methodologies, company strategies, product messaging, value prop, business value, and other aspects of market, sales, and business strategies.
· Nurture and manage leads until they are qualified as sales-ready. Improve lead quality to increase the percent of leads/appointments that convert to sales opportunities.
· Monitor leads as they progress beyond the appointment, obtain feedback and adjust messaging, qualifying, and targeting to improve downstream execution.
· Ensure sales database is complete and up-to-date including lead documentation.
· Master usage of phone and email with high quality, crisp, and clear communication to drive prospecting, lead generation, and appointment setting. Sell appointments with the prospect and our sales team members!
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience required.
· Experience conducting business and building relationships via phone & email preferred.
· Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, maintaining a high-volume pace with the capability to switch gears quickly as the prospecting conversation warrants.
· Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, including professional persistence & ability to make a compelling introduction.
· Strong technical skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts in layman’s terms.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable interacting with gatekeepers, line workers, mid management, and C-level prospects.
