TITLE: OLDER ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES CLERK TYPIST
DEFINITION: Reporting to a Supervisor in Protective Services. This position is responsible for secretarial duties for Director, Supervisor, and other Protective Services Staff as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Experience: Using the Dictaphone preferred, minimum of 1 year in office environment, typing letters, memos, and miscellaneous correspondence.
High energy level; able to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Drug testing required.
Criminal history check required.
To provide clerical support to department and staff. To represent department and agency in a professional manner with commitment to the highest degree of confidentiality.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Provides secretarial and clerical support to all department staff.
Types letters, forms, reports, memos, minutes, etc., from rough draft and corrected copy and answers phones.
Organizes and maintains case files.
Transfers and collates statistical data. Using a model generates new forms for data collection and reporting as needed.
Enters data into automated client demographic and tracking systems.
Greets and directs visitors.
Meets agency and states standards of timely and thorough investigation.
Records and reports are legible, timely, accurate, complete and relevant.
Ability to establish report with PCA staff, consumers, providers, families, and outside agencies.
Bring problems and possible resolutions to supervisory conference.
Departmental staff and administrative staff.
Families and informal support systems of consumers and service providers
