Within the policies and shared values of Volunteers of America and in accord with provisions of the funding sources, the Client Care Worker is responsible for development of the assigned client in the areas of vocational skills, social skills, personal care management, household management and self help skills.



High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years related experience.

In addition, a clean drivers license, reliable transportation, proof of vehicle insurance, ability to lift up to 50 lbs and able to work flexible hours.


  • Provide direct care to clients on caseload.
  • Assist with individual growth and development of each client in their safety skills, vocational skills, self help skills, money management, social skills, personal case management, household management, and any other related skills as identified in plans.
  • Develop, implement and monitor goals for clients that meet their needs as identified by their teams and in their individual service plans.
  • Maintain all client files with up-to-date information and ensure they are complete.
  • Access various resources to meet client's needs and coordinate those services as needed.
  • Fill in for absent staff and adjust schedule as needed.
  • Attend and participate in weekly and monthly team meetings.
  • Report Client wages to Social Security Administration monthly.
  • Complete and document all time studies for clients as required by the DOL.
  • Update DOL binder and all state required paperwork.
  • Maintain DOL Subsidized Minimum Wage Certificate.
  • Coordinate all communication and work at the shop and keep files updated.


  • Clients receive all required services.
  • Clients continue to grow in all skill levels which are indicated in service plan.
  • Client skills and growth are obtained.
  • Client charts are maintained as required by Volunteers of America and funding source.
  • Clients receive services without interruption.
  • Team is kept up to date on all areas effecting client services.
  • Services rendered are evaluated on a timely basis.
  • Clients receive accurate benefits from state.
  • Agency meets state mandates and requirements for client wages.
  • Agency meets state mandates and requirements for vocational program.
  • Agency meets state requirements.
  • Clients receive maximum employment opportunities.
