Client Lead, Kroger

Role Responsibilities:
·

Become an active member of the Kroger merchandising department developing a deep understanding of their business, goals, people, structure, processes, progress, pressures, actions, etc.

The role will require that a deep understanding be gained of specific categories or areas of the department.

Maintain an ongoing pulse inside Kroger’s business on overall results & actions being taken in the business

·

Accountable for

engaging and developing business rapport with Kroger merchandising leaders and the category management teams.

·

Accountable for delivering ‘shoulder to shoulder’ client service and execution of merchandising solutions for specific categories or areas of Kroger’s business

·

Assist in ensuring that Kroger’s day-to-day decisions are customer guided; this may require that you ‘challenge for change’ in a way that is professional and respectful but also is guided by what is best for the customer

·

Responsible for developing a department specific client plan that defines key priorities and defines specific deliverables, timelines, and resource planning

·

Provide ongoing feedback, highlighting potential opportunities & risks associated with priority initiatives

·

Manage Kroger expectations throughout the process including communicating the benefits and the value of the work

·

Partner with the dunnhumby Merchandising Client Lead for the dh Merchandising team on ways to engage and collaborate with the MP team and CPGs to help Kroger and their CPGs win more

·

Help dunnhumby better understand Kroger’s business challenges which will help us create more relevant and actionable insights and solutions

Experience and Skills:
·

Minimum of a Bachelors degree. While we don’t require a specific degree, typical successful candidates have a degree in Marketing, Economics, Management, Finance, English, Communications or Geography

·

A Masters degree is preferred, but not required

·

Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).

·

Adept public speaker

·

Having worked either internally or externally with the merchandising/commercial/buying functions of a major retailer is highly desirable

·

5+ years of similar and relevant work experience is highly desirable or 2+ years of internal work experience within dh

Comfortable both leading and doing work

Resourceful in utilizing existing insight assets to help guide client decisions

Eager-to, capable-of blending with Kroger culture & people

·

Communication & networking to ensure insights come back into dunnhumby
