Associate Director

Role Responsibilities:
·

Become an active member of the Kroger Corporate Brands department, developing a deep understanding of their business, brands, goals, people, structure, processes, progress, pressures, actions, etc.

The role will provide key support for a 60+ member organization to help them understand how to utilize customer data that is available for them to mine.

Maintain an ongoing pulse inside Kroger’s business on overall results & actions being taken in the business

·

Accountable for

engaging and developing business rapport with Corporate Brand leaders, Kroger merchandising leaders, and the merchandising category management teams. Responsible for primary relationships with Corporate Brand Directors and Senior Brand Managers / CSIs and accountable to lead dh Corporate Brand team in engagements with Brand, CSI, and Sales Planning teams.

Accountable for delivering ‘shoulder to shoulder’ client service and execution of merchandising solutions for specific brands, categories or areas of Kroger Corporate Brand’s business

Assist in ensuring that Kroger’s day-to-day decisions are customer guided; this may require that you ‘challenge for change’ in a way that is professional and respectful but also is guided by what is best for the customer

Responsible for developing and executing project specific client plan that defines key priorities and defines specific deliverables, timelines, and resource planning

·

Provide ongoing feedback, highlighting potential opportunities & risks associated with priority initiatives

·

Manage Kroger expectations throughout the process including communicating the benefits and the value of the work

·

Partner with the dunnhumby Merchandising Client Lead for the dh Corporate Brands team on ways to engage and collaborate with the other Merchandising teams to help Kroger win more

Help dunnhumby better understand Kroger’s business challenges which will help us create more relevant and actionable insights and solutions

·

Responsible for leading dh Corporate Brand Merchandising team members, providing direction on daily activities and guidance on personal development to achieve career growth.

Experience and Skills:
·

Minimum of a Bachelors degree. While we don’t require a specific degree, typical successful candidates have a degree in Marketing, Economics, Management, Finance, English, Communications or Geography

·

A Masters degree is preferred, but not required

·

Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).

·

Adept public speaker

·

Having worked either internally or externally with the merchandising/commercial/buying functions of a major retailer is highly desirable

·

5+ years of similar and relevant work experience is highly desirable or 2+ years of internal work experience within dh
