The Client Marketing Manager (CMM) drives growth, penetration, and profitability for our largest retail clients within Payment Solutions.
The CMM partners with the client to develop and execute a strategy which optimizes the consumer buying experience by integrating credit in all touch points. This includes building an in-store credit culture, promoting the program benefits on-line, and developing strong offers which drive consumer spend and loyalty (multi-channel, multi-segment consumer)

Essential Responsibilities

Assess client needs, business goals, and opportunities and jointly create and execute a growth plan(s) to align with the overall client business strategy.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive marketing calendar for the retail partner (or across smaller clients) containing actionable and innovative marketing strategies internally (associates) and externally (customers) to achieve growth goals.
  • Ensure clients and business are following all advertising and compliance guidelines leveraging existing processes. Partner with other leaders to communicate change, develop necessary consumer collateral/communications, etc. and implement new strategy.
  • Lead consumer behavior and competitive intelligence efforts to develop strong, simple, and differentiated consumer value propositions. This includes promotional financing, rewards programs, and special discounts and benefits.
  • Introduce new ideas and concepts to drive consumer growth and strengthen partner relationship. Educate internal team and partners on market conditions and opportunities and proactively drive change.
  • Jointly with Sales drive and communicate all key metrics pertaining to the performance of the client portfolios (sales, net income, new accounts, repeat purchase percentage, “e” sales, consumer e-mail enrollment, e-partner integration, penetration, etc.)
  • Create, build, and maintain a collaborative partnership with sales, legal, compliance, risk, finance, collections, and operations to drive overall results.
  • Partner with the consumer marketing COEs, marketing analytics, and e-commerce teams to deliver successful customer experiences and campaigns.
  • Optimize discretionary, contractual rebate funds, and client budgets to grow the business. Continuously track spending to ensure programs are executed efficiently to stay within budget.

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar field
  • 3+ years total marketing experience
  • 2+ years consumer marketing experience within or for retail sector
  • 2+ years credit card marketing experience
  • 1+ year strategic planning/strategic marketing experience
  • In-depth understanding of marketing tools and methodologies
  • Experience collaborating with internal sales teams and retail partners
  • Champion of marketing metrics and program measurement (incremental sales calculation, campaign profitability, break-even analysis)
