The Client Services Manager is responsible for leading and directing defined benefit outsourcing client engagements from implementation through live production. Once in production the client services manager is responsible for maintaining Mercer's relationship with benefit outsourcing clients. To fulfill this role, the Client Services Manager will:

Manage multiple teams that consists of indirect and direct reports (typically six - fifteen employees) including:

Assigning, directing and evaluating work

Hiring, disciplining and terminating employees

Conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions

Approving salary and bonus actions

Ensuring appropriate orientation and on-going education/training

Responsible for overall outsourcing relationship on behalf of Mercer including management of all day to day client concerns and questions

Develop and negotiate outsourcing contract and administer all logistics of approved contracts

Establish ongoing out of scope billing with clients and teams and monitor fees through collection

Participate in sales process for outsourcing prospects including providing specific functional and technical expertise to help develop presentation materials and pricing to prospects


Bachelor's degree in Business; MBA preferred

Five - ten years of experience in benefit administration and project management

Advanced knowledge of benefits administration, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, ability to multi-task, strong oral and written communication, planning and time management skills
