Central Regional Hospital, a state psychiatric inpatient facility located in Butner, NC, seeks Clinical Nurse Manager for the Child an Adolescent Unit. This is a banded position with the classification title of Nurse Supervisor. This Clinical Nurse Manager will manage the Child and Adolescent Unit (F0 adolescent female). This is a first shift (8:00am-5:00pm) exempt position with 24 hour responsibility in the efficient and effective delivery of quality nursing service to patients and staff. The Clinical Nurse Manager systematically evaluates compliance with all laws and regulations; ensuring continuity and consistency is maintained.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:

The Clinical Nurse Manager will manage one or more defined areas of organized nursing services. Must allocate available resources, provide administrative-level decisions and provide clinical and administrative leadership and expertise. Responsible for assurance of the delivery of quality nursing care through:
1. Participation in nursing policy formulation and decision making
2. Accountability for organizational services provided
3. Evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of care
4. Participation in the recruitment, selection and retention of personnel
5. Assumption of responsibility for adequate staffing and scheduling personnel
6. Assignments reflect appropriate utilization of personnel
7. Assurance of appropriate orientation, training, validation of competencies and continuing professional development for personnel
8. Evaluation of personnel performance.

Ability to mentor, coach and manage the total nursing competencies of staff. Actively seeks resources and opportunities for employee training and growth. Ability to identify and address quality monitoring and performance improvement issues for nursing services for multiple units or a region.

ADA Physical requirements will be discussed during interview process, but include ability to perform CPR, CPI (NCVI) and the lifting of 50 pounds

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of experience in the area of specialization.

Management prefers previous experience in a charge nurse role. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions. This is a Journey Level position. Contributing Level applicants will be considered if no Journey Level applicants apply. Salary will be determined based on competencies, equity, budget and market considerations
