S ummary : Carry out routine patient care assignments in collaboration with the physician. Perform established nursing procedures for individuals or groups of patients, utilizing age specific guidelines.
Requirements : Graduate of nursing program: Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN. Minimum 1 year nursing experience. Minimum 2 years clinic nursing experience preferred. Minimum 5 years oncology nursing experience preferred. Bilingual skills preferred. DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Critical thinking skills when utilizing the nursing process based on research and evidence-based outcomes and Standards of Practice. Competency in clinical skills related to the patient population being served. Competency in decision-making for emergent situations. Competency in the management of critical patient situations. Knowledge of how to access and utilize available resources. Knowledge of system policies and procedures. Unrestricted RN license by State of Colorado Board of Nursing or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement. Relevant life support training as determined by assigned department. May include BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or other certification as required by the department.
