Orange Regional Medical Center (ORMC), is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. Formed by the merger of Arden Hill Hospital and Horton Medical Center, Orange Regional provides 450 beds and employs over 2,500 healthcare professionals including over 550 doctors. Orange Regional Medical Center has consolidated two existing campuses onto a single site in Middletown, New York. This completed facility is the first new freestanding hospital built in the State of New York in more than 20 years and is the largest medical center between the Tappan Zee Bridge and Albany.
Responsibility for daily support activities of clinical users of the Information Technology System; including planning, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance. These tasks are accomplished through the use of system analysis skills, query tools, and system definition tools. Assists with system setup, installation, testing, and is responsible for the training of all clinical users. Identifies and assists in the resolution of issues as they relate to the clinical information systems modules.
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Technology, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution preferred.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing preferred.
A minimum of three years recent experience in a healthcare setting, with three years experience with a clinical computer system is required. Prior experience with the installation of a clinical order entry or clinical documentation system, preferred. An understanding of analytical processes, along with demonstrated proficient computer skills related to spreadsheet use, plus database and query abilities. Strong communication skills, ability to multi task and strong attention to detail.
Required Certification/ Registration:
Epic Orders certification or Epic Clin Doc certification preferred.
