The Clinical Coordinator is essential to the successful daily operation of the Respiratory & Pulmonary Diagnostic Services department. They will facilitate the clinical aspects of daily departmental operations in collaboration with the Respiratory & Pulmonary Diagnostic Services leadership team. Primary functions will include: orientation, competencies, and staff education; ensuring patient safety and quality performance improvement; providing the appropriate staffing to deliver effective and efficient service; promoting service excellence to enhance our patient experience. The Clinical Coordinator will assist with evaluations and discipline of all departmental staff and may act in the role of Manager in their absence. Requirements Minimum Education: - Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Care, Health Care Management or related field preferred. Minimum Experience/Knowledge: - Three years supervisory experience in an academic medical center's Respiratory Care Department to include Pulmonary Function/Arterial Blood Gas/Sleep Lab preferred. Required License/Certification: - Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of California. - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required. - BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association. ACLS preferred. - A Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 90 days of hire and maintained by renewing before expiration date.
