Position Summary: Clinical Dietitian for the General Pediatrics and New onset Diabetes (Type 1 and 2): Dallas Hospital Location Full Time This job is responsible for providing nutritional services to patients through nutritional monitoring, assessment, calculations, recommendations, and education. The dietitians are active participants in the interdisciplinary teams regarding the patient's nutrition. The dietitian is the nutrition resource for the hospital, staff, patients, families, and community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Care Duties:
  • Provide nutritional monitoring, assessment, calculations, recommendations, and education for patients
  • Participate in patient related meetings and rounds
  • Serve as a nutrition resource for the hospital, staff, patients, families, and community
  • Provide clear, effective, and professional communication to patients and family, staff, and community
Non- Patient Duties:
  • Complete administrative tasks, such as patient and non-patient related phone calls and e-mails, ongoing required competencies, etc
  • Provide training/education to the interns and others, media, etc.

Qualifications Education
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Licenses & certifications
  • State Dietetic License (i.e. LD - Licensed Dietitian) within 90 days of start date required
  • National Dietetic Registration (i.e. RD - Registered Dietitian) within 90 days of start date required
  • National Provider Identification Number (NPI) within 90 days of start date required

Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of job category-specific experience preferred

Physical Demands
  • Light - Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly and could require walking or standing to a significant degree.
