The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the production systems of food items in all areas throughout the system, menu and kitchen design, equipment utilization, recipe development, staff training, budgeting and adherence to regulatory requirements. This requires coordination with food production supervisors and site management. This position ensures quality food presentation and provides culinary expertise to develop innovative services throughout the system. Responsibilities also include a link to patient services where knowledge of nutritional content is necessary for nutrient restricted menus.
Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role.
Five years of experience as a chef.
A bachelor’s degree is required.
A combination of post high-school education and 6 years of recent relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree requirement, with HR Compensation approval and provided the individual commits to pursuing and completing the bachelor’s degree within a specified time frame.
Chef’s credentials or willing to obtain.
Facilities are based in Pierce and South King counties, travel to various facilities. Work location will vary.
