- BLS Healthcare Provider Required
- Must maintain current Texas State Registration
- 1 year experience required
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

EXPERIENCE: Three years in acute care.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse. BLS required for all units-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. ACLS/TNCC, PALS/ENPC, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are required within 1 year of date of hire or transfer date into unit based on RN job description for Unit/Department or specialty.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger/fine dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze and perform repetitive activity and demonstrate speed movement/velocity. Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting/carrying greater than 35 pounds with assistance and be able to push/pull, stoop/bend, kneel, walk, sit, crouch/squat, flex/position/twist, stand, hold, restrain, and reach.

SUMMARY: The manager assists the departmental leader in managing and dircting activities for the provision of care and provides direct professional care to patients in assigned area of responsibility ranging in age from newborn to geriatric following established standards and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Works collaboratively with patients, families, visitors, nursing personnel, physicians, staff of other departments, and members of the volunteer services. Serves as the departmental on site manager for daily operations.
