Our client, a large non-profit hospital system in North Carolina, is seeking candidates for a fulltime Oncology Pharmacist / Faculty position on their team.
The individual in this role will assist with clinical leadership and strategic planning for the pharmacy oncology service line . He or she will be responsible for providing quality, cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic management and clinical interventions to improve patient care. Additional responsibilities will include providing, ensuring and assisting with pharmacotherapeutic and didactic instruction to the affiliated School of Pharmacy students on oncology clerkships and collaborating with member institutions. This position will involve teaching, mentoring and student support as shared faculty with the affiliated School of Pharmacy.
Pharm D degree
Completion of a PGY2 and/or PGY2 residency in pharmacy OR two or more years of experience in clinical pharmacy practice in an oncology setting.
An active license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina, or eligible to become licensed in North Carolina within 60 days
Board Certification in oncology or eligible for board certification
Prior inpatient hospital experience with precepting responsibilities
Demonstrated skills in leadership
Effective written and verbal communication
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Prior experience or training using Cerner a plus!
