The Parsons Child and Family Guidance Clinic is a fee-for-service comprehensive outpatient mental health service program for children/youth and their families. The program is licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30am - 7:30pm with clinical services running until 8:30pm; Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
SERVICE TASKS :
Participation in a multi-disciplinary decision team.
Provide therapeutic services to youths with emotional disturbance and their families using differential treatment modalities, primarily child-focused family treatment.
Provide a volume of direct service comparable to 52% of any workweek (e.g. an average of 20 direct service hours per 37.5 hr work week).
Provide case management as indicated; collaborate and coordinate services with other providers.
Ensure insurance authorization for service provision is obtained.
Provide referral and collateral services as needed.
Provide training to agency staff as assigned and/or participate in Agency-wide committee(s)
Participate in intake assessment and decision‑making.
Record and maintain case records according to Agency, COA, OMH, insurance, and DOH standards.
Specific responsibilities as assigned.
Clincian works 5 pays per week, including at least two evening hours until 7:00pm and/or as needed and assigned
Education & Licensure
Masters degree in Social Work from a graduate school of social work accredited by CSWE.
NYS LCSW licensure preferred
Will consider NYS LMSW with minimum of 2+ years direct practice experience
Experience, training, or education commensurate with working with children and adolescents with serious and persistent emotional disturbance required.
This position encompasses the required scope of practice, supervision and setting required for licensure as an LCSW in New York State.
