Required Qualifications: Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State and two years of post-licensure acute care* clinical nursing experience. A Bachelors degree in Nursing may be substituted for one year of the experience. Quality assurance experience, excellent computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications: MSN, experience with neurology patients and regulatory agencies.
Brief Description of Duties: Consistent with the title. Tracking, monitoring, collating data for the stroke core measures, prepares documents for stroke certification, provides stroke education to patient, family community.
Other Duties: As assigned.
Special Notes: Shift: 1 Full-time Day position - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm - Monday through Friday. Please note Stony Brook Medicine is a smoke free environment.
