Vinfen supports thousands of adolescents and adults with psychiatric, developmental, and behavioral disabilities at more than 300 sites with 2,000 employees in eastern Massachusetts and Connecticut.

We are seeking compassionate, caring dynamic staff to work in a clubhouse providing services to adults living with psychiatric conditions in Plymouth. Working in partnership with Clubhouse members, the Clubhouse Counselor will develop and implement Action Plan goals designed to improve life skills within work areas of the Club. Clubhouse members may choose to work on skills related to education, employment, communication arts and social recreation. The Clubhouse Counselor will function as an advisor for Clubhouse members and provide support as well as teach and facilitate skill development for work area members. Additionally, the Clubhouse Counselor will promote a supportive and empowering clubhouse environment in which members learn to advocate for themselves, make their own choices, take risks and assume additional responsibilities.

The Clubhouse Counselor II- Employment Coordinator will provide general support (group and individual) to all Clubhouse members in all work areas; teach; coach; and facilitate skill development for all work area members. This role will provide meaningful work opportunities within the work areas and encourage member participation in activities.

Through the assessment and development of Action Plan goals the Counselor will work in partnership with Clubhouse members to improve life skills and self-determination within the established work areas of the club as well as in social and community activities. The Counselor will communicate and reinforce the clubhouse culture/philosophy to the membership as well as other involved providers and community resources. In partnership with membership and staff develop, this role will implement and support all Clubhouse policy and procedures. The Counselor will also be responsible for maintaining program records for members and supporting Clubhouse members in the documenting of progress on their personalized Action Plan if they choose to do so.

Additionally, the Clubhouse Counselor II Position provides specific expertise for and/or leadership in one or more clubhouse work areas. For the Employment area, that includes:
-Assisting members in job development and job search activities consistent with best practices and the needs and interest of the member. Providing training in job readiness, resume writing, and interview skills for person served. Providing benefits counseling for members on an as needed basis.
-Providing coaching, support and training to members at community job sites and transitional placements.
-Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community vocational service providers in order to develop employment opportunities for members as well as to coordinate employment services.

Schedule as follows:
Monday-Friday day hours with rotating evenings and weekends.
