Job Purpose Immediate Opening Desktop / IT support technicians offer support to users who are experiencing problems with their computers, software and telephony.

Support can be provided in person, over the phone or online. They address issues ranging from network systems to individual desktop computers. Duties • Attend to troubleshooting calls and execute installations, desktop maintenance and upgrades • Extend technical support for technology projects • Assess user needs and develop technical solutions on work related issues • Communicate with other information technology team members • Document technical support and business processes • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot end user desktops • Determine and execute system reconfiguration needs • Establish end user service level agreements • Configure and install phone and computer • Install and manage peripheral support devices like printers • Examine, manage, maintain, upgrade and support network servers ’ equipment and maintenance • Ensure the smooth running of the IT infrastructure in an office environment • Carry out such tasks that are required to meet the needs of the business Required Skills and Specifications • Technical skills including hardware and software installation, configuration, troubleshooting and support • Two to five years of verifiable experience and hands-on desktop or user support role • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for consulting with users to understand needs, define requirements, and provide effective solutions • Knowledge of current technologies, tools, applications, and vendors • Ability to provide input and recommendations regarding new technologies and system solutions for meeting business needs • Basic Network administrations skills. (i.e., wiring and termination of Cat5e or higher cable, network interface configurations etc.)
