CB Risk Administration Team Overview

Commercial Banking Risk Administration supports CB Risk Management processes across all CB business lines, functions and risk types. Risk Administration manages CB risk policy and governance processes, credit support teams and Chief Administration Office (CAO) functions including budget/expenses and reporting for senior management such as the CB Executive Team and the Risk Operating Committee and for the Board of Directors such as the Directors Risk Policy Committee.

Risk Administration Reporting Analyst

The Risk Administration Reporting Analyst will report into the Senior Business Manager and work on high visibility activities, and directly interact with the Head of Risk Administration and CB Chief Risk Officer.

The Reporting Analyst will have

significant levels of responsibility as part of a small team that provides support across multiple risk types (credit risk, reputation risk, operating risk, etc.), business lines and products, functional disciplines (risk management, communications, finance, controls, compliance, technology, etc.) and management levels.

The Reporting Analyst will often work with other members of the team to deliver key analyses in response to events as well as routine risk management presentations and reports.

Responsibilities include:

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of both periodic and ad hoc senior management presentations and reports regarding key Commercial Bank Risk initiatives, issues and activities


Perform the analyses for Commercial Banking Risk Senior Management related to both risk management and managing the Risk function within CB (over 1700 of CB’s 6000+ employees)


Effectively support the team and management in maintaining a strong presentation and reporting portfolio, covering all existing and new risk related reports and materials


Develop and facilitate a strong working relationship with business partners through ongoing coordination of presentation and report data and utilizing effective communication and, when warranted, conflict and resolution skills.

The Risk Administration Reporting Analyst will need to be able to understand risk and functional concepts to be able to highlight key messages from detailed analysis performed by the Analyst team or by others.

Deliverables are often related to ad hoc and unanticipated requests, so the Reporting Analyst must be able to deal with changing priorities, making good decisions about how to get the work done and communicating immediately where there are real risks to on-time delivery.

Attention to detail and accuracy is critical, given the executive audience for much of the team’s work.

Required capabilities include:

Bachelors degree and minimum 5 -7 years experience working in financial services preferably credit risk or related field


Broad knowledge of risk management


Strong analytical and quantitative skills


Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)


Availability and willingness to work overtime during critical reporting cycles and be available to CRO out of hours “if/when” needed


Development of throughput metrics and reporting


Outstanding interpersonal/communication skills


Excellent leadership and teamwork skills


Working knowledge of financial processes and reporting


Ability to work cross functionally with diverse personalities


A keen attention to detail and a creative mindset


Sense of urgency and an ability to hit the ground running


Proven ability to multitask and to be resourceful in meeting deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced and changing environment


Must be able to effectively summarize complex information and risks and deliver it in formal business executive level presentations


Strong work ethic and desire to learn continuously


Professional editing skills a strong plus


Knowledge of SharePoint development a plus
