The position is for a Commercial Director to work with Sales Account teams on selected deals to create commercial value-add which differentiates Siemens Enterprise from the competition, whilst delivering the business objectives of the company. This is a position that requires the skills and personality to work with diverse specialists of the account team and the broader company, and includes direct customer interaction and negotiation. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Operate as the Commercial specialist in cross-functional account teams including (but not limited to) Sales, Technical, Service, and Legal experts, with focus on deals above a specified level of value and/or complexity, or for a defined list of customers. Develop standard proposal output into compelling customer value propositions through assessment and understanding of the commercial imperatives of the customer’s buying decisions. Construct and represent the commercial value proposition to internal company stakeholders and decision makers. Negotiate commercial terms with the customer and or sell-through partner. Ensure deals deliver against the company’s profitability and risk management and internal control objectives and standards. CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES Commercial deal construction and negotiation experience and success in a blue chip technology industry Demonstrable knowledge of financial statements preparation, analysis, and review including but not limited to Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Balance Sheet, Leasing documentation. Solid understanding of the financial impact and consequences of commercial terms and competence in contractual terms and conditions. Ability to form productive internal and external relationships rapidly is necessary. Credibility required at all levels of the company and customer/partner environments, including Executive Leadership. Ability to work across all functions of the company with a level of business understanding and awareness. Ability to travel within North America is required and internationally preferred. Knowledge of Federal, State & local or International trading standards an advantage. End.
