Responsible for the strategic procurement of assigned raw materials supporting North American FPD Business and for driving year-over-year productivity. Will proactively provide and implement proposals/suggestions regarding commodities and improve the interfaces with other functions such as supply chain, sales, R&D, etc.
This role is responsible for integrated supply plans, negotiation/implementation of supply contracts, supplier development and management
Effectively manage a portfolio of lower value or smaller volume procurement commodities (often referred to as Tier II) in terms of ensuring security of supply, minimizing working capital requirements, and driving productivity
Negotiate all aspects of supply contracts to drive value through pricing, payment terms, logistics, volumes, etc.
Develop and document strategic raw material strategies using Procurement Plans
Understand market dynamics of assigned commodities and be able to translate these into value added agreements with selected suppliers
Measure supplier performance and hold suppliers accountable to meet product specification, delivery and material performance expectations
Report quarterly to the Procurement Team and business using a Deep Dive format
Develop strong internal relationships with business partners
Coordinate, act, and assist in the development of monthly and annual price forecasts
Work effectively across functional and regional boundaries to solve problems
Optimize cash flow aspects of assigned commodities
Sourcing of Tier II raw materials under his/her responsibility at 32 different plants in North America, and in other divisions/locations as assigned with a total spend estimated at $38MM annually

- 3-5 years relevant experience preferably in the Chemicals Industry or distributor market
- Knowledge of current technologies related to: process analysis, supply chain optimization, procurement, resource planning and optimization
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with an attention to detail
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- SAP Materials Management Experience is helpful.
Business or Chemistry degree or equivalent
