The Commodity Site Leader – Mechanical Systems/Fabrications for Gas Engines will be responsible to strategically develop and manage a global supply chain of goods and services to geographically diverse locations, while driving commercial advantage through achievement of quality, cost, usage and delivery goals.

Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
  • Manage direct material volume & control costs while meeting delivery and quality requirements
  • Team lead for Services Fulfillment and Supplier Recovery
  • Be the focal point to lead the development and execution of long-term commodity strategies for the global supply chain for buy of $20M GE Waukesha Gas Engines Mechanical Systems / Fabrications through strategic plan development and execution
  • Synergize with other commodity leaders to develop / execute strategy to contract and drive savings
  • Drive sourcing program and lead site initiatives for strategic sourcing team including management of deflation activities, supply change risk mitigation and supplier recovery
  • Metrics: Deliver measurable deflation on Year over Year buy, drive fulfillment metrics, reduce single / sole source suppliers, and grow emerging market penetration
  • In accordance with the developed strategy, lead supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management (including T&C negotiations)
  • Support GSC initiatives including optimized lead times, Direct Material Productivity, New Product Introduction
  • Drive cash flow improvements, through payment terms negotiation and other business initiatives
  • Plan, prepare and execute Long Term Commodity Strategy
  • Manage projects in a matrix organization across the globe; including interacting cross-functionally to understand unique supplier requirements of global supply chain business

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, finance, manufacturing or operations
