The Communications Coordinator will report to the Director, Communications.
  • Work with the Director, Communications to execute internal and external communications strategies
  • Manages relationships with the local and national radio producers
  • Helps manage media schedules for all Pac-12 talent
  • Distributes noteworthy digital content to media
  • Assists with all press releases and distributes to media and key stakeholders
  • Helps write and manage Pac-12 Insider – the corporate blog of the Pac-12 Networks
  • Helps coordinate industry award submissions
  • Helps find and secure industry speaking opportunities for Pac-12 Networks executives and talent
  • Works closely with all departments to promote milestones and important developments internally
  • Monitors daily media reports and distributes internally
  • Builds and updates media influencer databases
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or other related field
  • Understanding/interest in collegiate sports important
  • Individual must be a team player, able to handle multiple tasks, extremely organized, accurate, responsible, flexible, diplomatic and able to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products or equivalent and Google Docs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with all levels
  • Excellent writing skills and understanding of Associated Press style writing standards
