Transamerica's Individual Savings & Retirement (IS&R) engages in the creation, distribution and servicing of mutual funds and variable and fixed annuities. These innovative solutions help consumers address their accumulation, protection and retirement income needs. Our products are distributed through banks, wirehouses, broker/dealers and institutional clients. IS&R is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Denver, Colorado; and St. Petersburg, Florida.
Assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies for both internal and external audiences to achieve marketing and communications goals for the organization. This may include press releases, newsletter, presentations and other projects as needed.
Under general supervision, this individual will be responsible for:
Assisting in the coordination and development of creative and clearly written material in support of the organization’s strategies
Assisting in planning, developing and publishing internal and external communications (e.g., newsletters, press releases, brochures, website content, and presentations).
Supporting marketing related communications needs of designated business groups and departments. Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers
May assist in company event logistics and deployment
Reviewing analytics of communications initiatives and making recommendations for improvement.
Manage the execution of marketing and communication programs in support of business goals and objectives.
Interface with media and printing vendors to coordinate timeliness, delivery schedules and proof/approve materials.
Staying current with industry practices on marketing communications using knowledge to impact communication tactics.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising or related field required. One to three years of communications experience. Interpersonal skills for success include organization, creativity, above-average communication, multi project management, and self-starter. Must be proficient in Microsoft suite applications.
