Job Description : Follows and adheres to the Community Health Nurse/MCH (CHN/MCH) job description while applying specialized knowledge and skill in the areas of Prenatal, Postpartum, Premature Infants, Newborn, Pediatrics, Oncology Asthma and high risk situations. Utilizing the nursing process, provides skilled nursing care to patients in their homes or other health care facilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the promotion of health maintenance of individuals, families and the community through assessment, teaching, counseling and appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing measures.

Requirements : Experience in the areas of Prenatal, Postpartum, Premature Infants, Newborn, Pediatrics, and high risk situations preferred. Current Massachusetts RN license (BSN preferred) plus two year’s experience in maternal child/pediatric nursing in community health or acute care setting. May be required to cover occasionally for Caring for Kid’s team. Computer literate for documentation into EMR. Oncology, IV certification and bilingual skills a plus. Must have current driver’s license and a reliable automobile. Must possess gross motor skills in order to get in/out of vehicle, climb stairs, carry community health nursing bag, etc. Fine Motor skills to accomplish skilled nursing care and required electronic documentation.

Weekend and Holiday rotation subject to MNA agreement
