Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources, the Compensation and Benefits Manager will serve as an internal subject matter expert responsible for developing Pac-12 Networks’ compensation plan structures, managing and administering our benefit plans, and providing consultation to Recruiting and senior management on compensation and benefits matters. The Compensation and Benefits Manager will initiate and lead strategy and implementation of new benefits, compensation plans, including roll out, training and communication. They will be responsible for managing the organization’s compensation and benefits programs including but not limited to: job evaluation, salary administration programs, life and health insurance, disability, and related programs. They will evaluate and recommend modifications to maintain the organization’s objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. The Compensation and Benefits Manager will establish and maintain a Total Rewards program based on competitive industry practices.

The Compensation and Benefits Manager will conduct and participate in salary surveys and recommend changes to ensure the maintenance of the organization’s total compensation objectives. They will proactively identify system/procedure/service deficiencies and work with HR management to develop, implement and communicate system modification and policy/procedure revisions to enhance HR operating efficiency, reduce cost, and provide the best customer service possible. The Compensation and Benefits Manager will perform internal audits of the benefits and payroll system to ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines, identifying any improper pay codes, missing documentation, and reconciling discrepancies to support internal auditing function. Working with the HR Coordinator, they will audit and verify data integrity of a new benefit data processing system (ClearBenefits) and operating procedures in accordance with established standards for efficiency and accuracy.

This key position will proactively anticipate business needs and based on industry trends and competitive analyses, will develop and maintain focused total rewards strategies, programs, and policies supporting Pac-12 Networks’ strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities:
Develop and design Pac-12 Networks’ total compensation program, including but not limited to variable pay plans and sales incentive programs

Partner with Senior Director, HR and other senior managers to design legally compliant programs and policies that retain and motivate top talent and meet corporate objectives

Provide primary analytical and quantitative modeling, auditing, testing, and implementation of merit/structure, budget recommendations, and the salary planning process, the annual merit increase process, promotional policies, incentive levels and features.

Design and coordinate strategic compensation programs with an emphasis on supporting each business unit with their future strategies in mind, while also ensuring that compensation plan designs meet the best interest of the organization as a whole.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business leaders and serve as subject matter expert on all elements of total rewards planning and administration.

Collaborate with all necessary partners to ensure quality advance planning for each fiscal year review.

Serve as a technical resource on total rewards for Human Resources and Recruiting to ensure that support is provided.

Maintain industry group relationships to stay abreast of compensation trends and benefit legislation.

Manage benefits broker relationship and various HR benefit and compensation vendor relationships

Work with brokers to optimize Pac-12 Networks’ long term positioning with both healthcare reform and longer ranged cost factors in mind.

Oversee the 401(k) program to ensure accurate operations per the plan design. Ensure audits and testing are conducted on time and in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of progressive benefits and compensation experience, with an emphasis in compensation.

In depth knowledge of the design and implementation of base and incentive plans. Sales and executive compensation experience

Intimate understanding of how the culture of an organization will impact the strategy and philosophy behind compensation program design and implementation.

Good written, oral and presentation skills.

Bachelor's degree; Human Resources preferred.

Strong knowledge of the technical and compliance/regulatory aspects of benefits and compensation (i.e. job analysis and evaluation, market pricing, and survey administration).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Confidential and discreet.

Detail oriented with strong project management skills.

Excellent analytical skills including HRIS report writing; advanced spreadsheet capabilities in MS Excel.

Experience working for a company with multiple locations in multiple states preferred.

CCP or CEBS certification preferred

Previous leadership and people management experience preferred
