Position Overview
Responsible for performing incentive compensation data modeling and analysis in support of new and existing incentive plan designs. Utilizes strong data manipulation, organization, summarization and trending skills to draw conclusions on the effectiveness of various incentive plan design alternatives. Also performs analysis of competitive compensation data, assists with variable pay target and compensation range development and assists in other quantitative research projects and analyses of variable compensation results as needed.

Provides consultative and analytic support to corporate, business unit and human resource management on compensation strategies, programs, issues and practices. Researches, analyzes and summarizes market data and pay practices. Serves as a resource on all matters related to variable compensation.

Responsibilities
  • Provides consultative and analytic support to corporate, business unit and human resource management on compensation strategies, programs, issues and practices
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in the design and development of incentive plan communications, key plan design features that drive desired behaviors and how incentive calculations are applied
  • Support the field with plan design issues and questions and monitors and reports on key performance indicators post plan implementation
  • Acts as a liaison to HR, Finance and Sales
  • Researches, analyzes and summarizes market data and pay practices; participates in compensation surveys
  • Analyzes internal pay equity, documents and recommends pay adjustments and review changes in wages and salaries for conformance to policy
  • Contributes to the design, development and implementation of compensation communication and training materials (e.g., incentive plan documentation, publications, FLSA compliance training)
  • Evaluates data, prepares forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, operations, general business conductions and other related areas

Education and Experience Requirements
  • BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Generally 1-2 years of experience in a Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Marketing Analytics or other quantitative role
  • Strong data manipulation and data analysis skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of the particular field of specialization to the completion of moderately complex assignments
  • Attention to detail, analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Skill and ability to identify variances and trends
  • Skill and ability to assimilate broad source data into planning models
  • Skill and ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing, including delivering presentations

  • Strong experience in personal computer applications including a high level of proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), or other relational database software
