Under the general direction of the Director, Physician Billing, develops and subsequently manage a formalized professional billing coding/documentation/education program for Abington Health Physicians. Serves as project manager for coding/billing activities which includes, but is not limited to, identifying needs for program initiatives; coordinating coding activities and audits; researching and responding to inquiries; follows through on monitoring activities;and provides ongoing and targeted educational progams for staff.
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years previous hospital and/or health system coding / billing / training experience required.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, business or related field required. 3+ years management experience in a hospital or Health system. CHC, CPC required.
CHC, CPC-H preferred.
Excellent organization, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized and produces detail oriented work.
Maintains confidentiality.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple demands and meet deadlines.
Perform at a high level requiring minimal direct supervision.
Experience must include demonstrated knowledge of coding, billing and pertinent federal and state laws related to healthcare (including but not limited to HIPAA, Stark, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback, etc.), reimbursement policies and ability to comprehend regulatory matters.
