The Compliance Specialist administers all aspects of a comprehensive insurance certificate monitoring program involving both Wholesale and Retail customers. Manages the relationship with third party vendors relative to the integrity of a database used as an electronic repository for insurance related information. Interfaces with both customers and insurance agents as needed. .
Reviews and accurately interprets Accord and/or Worker Compensation coverage forms to determine compliance with contractual requirements. Interfaces with third-party vendor for insurance certificate management database to research and reconcile questionable/delinquent coverage, or to determine if exceptions are warranted. Coordinates with Risk Management on a timely basis to ensure customers fulfill their obligations to maintain and show evidence of insurance coverage per contract agreements. Serves as primary point-of-contact for Marketing customers relative to inquiries on insurance compliance matters. (60%)
Builds and Maintains relationships with third party vendors and the overall integrity and accuracy of an external database containing a wide variety of insurance related data across a broad spectrum of customer groups. Responsible to develop and maintain customer risk profiles based on contractual requirements as needed. (15%)
Interfaces with Marketing staff to communicate contractually based insurance requirements, and to resolve customer related insurance certificate deficiencies as needed. Properly documents and archives exceptions based on unique customer situations as needed. (20%)
Prepares monthly reports within the required timelines relative to insurance compliance as directed. Prepares customer non-compliance notifications as needed
Develops the skills and competencies necessary to assist in the administration of certain Marketing program related operational functions, or contract administration related function performed by the Marketing Services organization as directed. (15%).
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years policy related insurance industry experience required.
