What Territory Management - Med Dev contributes to CareFusion

Territory Management is responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of CareFusion and customer industry, including: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation; demonstrates working knowledge of how CareFusion offerings match with a customers' unique business needs. Initiates and takes ownership of principles of territory management, including: account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation processes, deal economics

Accountabilities

Extensive medical capital equipment sales background, an IT background and a ventilation/experience background.
The candidate will be required to have an understanding of the different lung disease path physiologies as well as knowledge of the ventilator products in our portfolio.
The call points will range from Respiratory Therapy departments, IT departments, ICU managers, Nursing Managers and even C-suite level executives.
Required to utilize the CareFusion Sales Process to identify, qualify and close new business as well as maintaining current customers.
The new CareFusion Ventilation System will require an understanding of how hospital's electronic medical records (EMR) work and how our system communicates with them. A good understanding of analytics utilizing ventilator data and how that data provides a solution to a hospital's problems.

Executes on business opportunities and maintains a pipeline large enough to support objective attainment
Creates and executes an opportunity plan with occasional support and coaching to achieve consistent results
Utilizes available resources within own business unit and looks for ways to involve other business units in executing the Solutions Sales Process
Territory includes: Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and New Mexico

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required
Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
Information Technology experience is a plus
Minimum 4 years related sales experience
Ability to travel 50% of time
Proven product knowledge in business area
Valid driver's license
