Job Family Summary

Territory Management-Clin Device is responsible for increasing penetration and profitability in existing accounts as well as increasing market share through cold calling, prospecting, building relationships, post sales implementation and account maintenance. Focused on account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a territory. Involved in the sale of clinically differentiated solutions to include surgical instruments, equipment, products and/or disposables, and/or standalone software. Buying process involves physician preference and one or two decision makers. Sales cycle is typically up to 6 months and call point is Physician and Clinicians.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of CareFusion and customer industry, including: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation; demonstrates working knowledge of how CareFusion offerings match with a customers' unique business needs.
Initiates and takes ownership of principles of territory management, including: account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation processes, deal economics

What is expected of you and others at this level in Direct Sales for functional success

Applies knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions
Proactively and with a regular cadence demonstrates to the customer the defined value of partnering with CareFusion both pre- and post-sales
Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus
Builds and sustains relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty
Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships

Accountabilities in this role

Increases sales and customer satisfaction through a varied sales approach which includes cold-calling, relationship building, and account management Develops and implements short and long term plans to achieve annual sales and gross profit dollar goals by building on existing accounts and identifying and cultivating new opportunities for growth

Calls on Oncology, Pulmonology, Cardiothoracic, OR and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) while building relationships and selling to physicians and hospitals
Design and deliver sales presentations
Introduces and sells new products, enhancements and multiple product lines
Directs field sales and service strategy for Chronic and Acute draining products (including Pleurx Catheter) within a large geographical territory
Territory consists of: Louisiana, portion of Mississippi (Jackson/Hattiesburg) and the Florida Panhandle

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 4 years related Medical sales experience
Ability to travel less than 50% of time
Proven product knowledge in business area
Valid driver's license
