Job Family Summary
Business Development-Med Device is responsible for driving sales and services to new customers. Builds and maintains relationships with key decision makers that lead to future business opportunities. Expands existing accounts by selling new product offerings and/or extending relationships into new areas within an account. Provides limited post sales implementation support. Involved in the sale of electronic medical device equipment. Specialty focused sale (i.e. departmental, functional). Buying process is complex and cross-functional sale with senior level management approval. Sales cycle is typically 10 - 12 months and call point is director level and above. Frequency of renewal is 3 to 7 years.
What is expected of you for success in your role
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of CareFusion and customer industry, including: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation; demonstrates working knowledge of how CareFusion offerings impact customers
Executes on business opportunities and maintains a pipeline large enough to support objective attainment
Creates and executes an opportunity plan with occasional support and coaching to achieve consistent results
Utilizes available resources within own business unit and looks for ways to involve other business units in executing the Solutions Sales Process
Bachelor's degree required
Min 4 years related sales experience
Ability to travel less than 25% of time
Proven product knowledge in business area
Valid driver's license
