This is a hands-on technically focused position on the Clinical Informatics Reporting Development team. This position is responsible for implementing new enterprise clinical reporting applications and ensuring those clinical reporting application strategically align with HCA business initiatives and enterprise standards. The position is also responsible for providing routine production support and maintenance tasks to production clinical reporting applications.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to establish effective working relationships and manage multiple priorities.
This position involves working with business analysts to capture business requirements, ensure they are technically feasible and to produce technical design specs that will meet the requirements. This position performs VB .net, C#, SQL scripting and ETL(DM Express tool) development for clinical reporting applications.
Can lead large scale development projects involving multiple departments
Responsible for analyzing business requirements and developing clinical reporting applications
Translate business requirement documentation into technical design specifications
Develop logical and physical data models
Perform VB .net, C#, SQL scripting and ETL(DM Express tool) development assignments to established standards
Create documentation, including source-to-target mappings and business-driven transformation rules
Able to build strong relationships within the department, with other technical people, and with our business partners.
Implement process improvements with reporting applications and the overall development process
Respond to and resolve on call production issues
Expected to multi-task effectively
Able to establish and meet target dates
7-10 years of relevant work experience
College graduate preferred
Required experience: Proficient with VB .net, C#, SQL scripting, SSIS, SSRS and ETL(DM Express tool)
Knowledge of: SQL Server, Teradata, other ETL based tools, other multidimensional databases
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Prolonged sitting at CRT, On-call support required during non-normal working hours.
Requires ability to provide after-hours support.
