The Content Specialist plays an integral role in assigning required
selling attributes to all items maintained in the Toys R Us item
catalog. The Content Specialist works closely with the buying
teams, content managers and copywriter to ensure all required item
data is entered into the product catalog accurately and in an
efficient, timely manner.

Responsibilities:
Completes the initial verification and validation process for
all items in our company catalog once our buying deems the item
will be carried for sale.
Ensures that each item has the appropriate buying and
selling attributes as required by company and brand standards
including but not limited to , shelf tags, registry description,
benefits, features, descriptions , age range, battery attributes
etc.
Keeps the quality of customer facing item attributes paramount
during the verification and validation process.
Works with vendor/internal partners to obtain additional
information for the item if needed.
Generate reports to review what items were set up, correct
errors and/or add any missing attributes.
Assists the copywriter by establishing the framework for the
creation of the product brand story line.

Strong grammar, proofreading and text editing skills are
required with excellent verbal and written communication
ability
1 to 2 years of ecommerce, catalog management, buying,
planning, or retail experience is preferred
General Computer proficiency including familiarity with the
following applications: Excel, Word, Outlook and Access are
required.
Detailed oriented, highly organized, ability to multi task and
to work in highly pressured situations.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work
independently.
Must be customer service oriented and be a team player
